handMade in Vermont

I think it is important to find the things we love in life. and I think we should love the items that we hold, use and look at everyday.

Home Studio in Hartland, Vermont

About

I have the great fortune of doing what I love for a living. I aspire to make the best possible pots I can that are useful and comfortable. I live in Hartland, Vermont where my husband, Ira, and I are are turning a horse facility into our home and studios while raising our two kids. It is a great adventure and I find living in the country to be endlessly inspiring.

I graduated with a BFA in Ceramics from the Maine College of Art with a focus in sculpture in 2008.  After graduating, I rented studio space and then made pots in my kitchen for a bit. That wasn’t ideal (clay is messy!) and in 2010 I moved to Coupeville, Washington where I apprenticed for studio potter, Robbie Lobell.  There I met and learned from many amazing potters including wood fire potter Al Tennant. After three years of quiet coastal life I moved back east and kept making work at a craft center in New Jersey.  I moved to Vermont in 2013 and worked as a production potter for three years until starting my own pottery line in 2017. I love my community and how pottery connects me to it in a really meaningful way.

When I’m not in the studio, teaching or at farmer’s markets, I am likely spending time with my family, gardening, gazing, swimming, cross country skiing, watching a show or attempting to tackle one of a million house projects.

All of my pottery is fired to 2225 degrees, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.
